This is a new Block of the Month by Kathy Doughty featuring her stunning Trade Winds fabric range with FIGO fabrics.
You will make this gorgeous quilt over a 12 month period. You will receive you pattern and fabric every two months - starting August 2024. The pattern, templates and instructions will be in the Quilters Companion magazine in six bi-monthly issues and will be included in your pack.

The deposit of $100 is payable to hold your place. Then you will be charged $67-00 once every two months - August, October, December, February, April and June.

These are the preview images for this stunning quilt - I have seen the full quilt and it is stunning of course and really makes a feature of the Trade Winds range. Great techniques included by a world renowned quilt designer and tutor.
“Trade Winds captures the frenetic energy of an exotic market square where a mix of eclectic cultures and tastes blend in harmony. Imagine magic carpets, ceramic spice pots and mosaic floors all made possible by textile trades on the seas.
Textiles are integral to the history of all trade. Cultures were divided by distance and developed their own style relative to and reflective of their environment. As we started to move around the globe the ideas, colours and graphics of different societies met and merged into new and exciting design combinations.
My Trade Winds collection was inspired by the chintz prints of India, the mosaics of the Middle East and exotic floral prints of Asia. We are lucky now to live in a time where the world is merging influences to create new and wonderful arenas in which we can play.
This quilt is a journey of simple techniques to beautiful place! Quilters Companion Magazine will offer this program over six bi-monthly issues in 2024. The magazine will include all the instructions, templates, diagrams and measurements to complete the project.” Kathy Doughty
